which outlined a proposal for a miniature form of laser beam circuitry

marking the first research paper about what is now known as integrated photonics. Now half a century has passed

integrated photonics grew robustly from integrating a limited number of devices and functions towards versatile and industrialized photonic integrated circuits. In this interview
